Institute for Democracy “Societas Civilis” – Skopje is implementing the project “Capacity Building of the INFORM Network” which aims to strengthen of the research and management capacities of organizations and individuals included in South-East European social science network of the international scientific project INFORM: CLOSING THE GAP BETWEEN FORMAL AND INFORMAL INSTITUTIONS IN THE BALKANS.
The project is funded through the Regional Research Promotion Programme in the Western Balkans (RRPP) and is implemented in partnership with the Centar for Empirical Cultural Studies of Southeast Europe from Serbia, Social Research Kosovo from Kosovo and Center for Historical and Anthropological Research from Albania. The project will be implemented from June to November 2016 with a total budget of 18.245 EUR.
The project “Capacity Building of the INFORM Network” will include 12 young researchers (PhD students, MA’s) into the work of these four organizations through the programme of paid internships, acquisition of new equipment needed for the realisation of large scope projects and necessary for the inclusion of young researchers into the activities of organisations, undertake international networking and inclusion of new research organisations into the SEE social science network with the aim of strengthening the network and applying for new research projects.
Strengthening of research and management capacities will be done through four workshops. The topic of the workshops will be EU project management, techniques of ethnographic research and case study methodology, qualitative methodology and qualitative data analysis (interviews and the analysis of data by using the software QDA miner) and quantitative methodology and the quantitative data analysis (with the focus on surveying and the analysis of data by using the SPSS and SPAD software).
