The Macedonian Center for International Cooperation (MCIC) in coooperation with the Institute for Democracy “Societas Civilis” Skopje, Transparency Macedonia and Association for Democratic Initiatives organizes Anti-Corruption Policy Forum which will be held on October 14, 2014 (Tuesday) from 11:00 to 13:00 in hotel Holiday Inn Skopje.
At the Policy Forum, the Corruption Assessment Report for Macedonia will be presented. The report provides an overview on the spread and dynamics of corruption and the anticorruption measures in the period between 2002 and 2013. The report is a result of population and business surveys, and secondary desk research conducted by team of researches of MCIC and the Centre for the Study of the Democracy (CSD) form Bulgaria. This report covers seven key areas: level of corruption, anticorruption policies and regulatory environment; institutional practice and enforcement of the law (implementation of laws and institutions efficiency); efficiency of the judiciary in the fight against corruption; corruption and economy; civil society`s role in anticorruption; and international cooperation in the field of anticorruption. The report is prepared according to Corruption Monitoring System, a methodology which is applied for the first time in Macedonia.
The Corruption Assessment Report is part of the USAID Macedonia Anti-Corruption program, implemented by MCIC in partnership with Institute for Democracy “Societas Civilis” Skopje, Transparency Macedonia and Association for Democratic Initiatives.
