On 8 and 9 October 2014, two workshops on advocacy and communication skills were held for CSOs members of the Network for prevention of conflict of interests in the public administration. The workshops took place at the Macedonian Institute for Media (MIM), and were organized in the framework of the project “CSOs watchdog network for prevention of spoils and conflict of interest in the public administration”, implemented by IDSCS and the partners MIM and Ohrid Institute for Economic Strategies and International Affairs (OI).

The purpose of the workshops is to strengthen the advocacy and communication skills of advocacy of CSOs which conduct research on conflict of interest and corruption in the public administration on the local level.

The workshops were focused on the following topics: introduction to advocacy, where issues of communications planning, communication strategic framework and messages towards target groups were discussed; structure and organization of public presentations for presentation of research findings; and writing for the web and web activism. Each topic was followed-up by practical exercises and discussions.

In these series of two workshops representatives of the following CSOs participated: ZIP Institute, Analytica, Center for change management , Association ZENITH, LCDF Stip, Organisation of women Sv. Nikole, Association of finance officers of the local governments and public enterprises.
