Public Relations Seminar for the Religious Communities in Macedonia

On 28 April 2011 in Skopje, the Institute for Democracy and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation held a public relations seminar on the nationalities and the Skopje representatives of the religious communities in Macedonia. The representatives of the Macedonian Orthodox Church – Archdiocese of Ohrid, the Islamic Religious Community, the Evangelist-Methodist Church and the Jewish Community were educated on Public Relations and media communication. The seminar was about the ways in which the religious communities can inform the public about their values and practices through the media, thus bring about inter-religious tolerance. They also got acquinted with the media communication tools and have practiced their application. The seminar was led by Austrian media expert and religious issues Marcus Marschalek and the lecturer from the School of Journalism and Public Relations, Marina Tuneva. 
The seminar was organized within the project “Tolerance, dialogue, cooperation! Promoting inter-religious dialogue in Macedonia through capacity building for media and religious representatives.” The project is financed by the European Union and co-financed by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
