Although the Parliament has an open data portal, part of the data is published in technical formats that are difficult for the wider public to use. This limits its potential for information, analysis, and public oversight.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project \u201cParliamentary Open Data in Practice: Building Civic Engagement\u201d aims to bring parliamentary open data closer to citizens, media, civil society organizations, students, and young people. The project combines the development of a user-oriented dashboard, practical training on the use of open data, a digital campaign, and advocacy for the sustainability of the solution.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project will systematize and visualize selected data related to parliamentary questions, the \u201cMy MP\u201d platform, and citizens\u2019 contact offices. At the same time, it will strengthen users\u2019 capacities to access, interpret, and use open data for monitoring the work of the Parliament and encouraging greater public accountability.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project is implemented by the Institute for Democracy \u201cSocietas Civilis\u201d \u2013 Skopje, with support from the Digital Spark programme.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Implementation period:<\/strong> April 2026 \u2013 September 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Approved funds:<\/strong> USD 13,000.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Donor:<\/strong> Regional Support Mechanism for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA), supported by the CIVICUS Digital Democracy Initiative (DDI)<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Open data is an important tool for transparency, accountability, and civic participation.
