The workshop involved civil servants who work on preparation of the budgets in their own institution, i.e. the Ministry for Transport and Communications, the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Supply, the State Statistical Office, the Health Insurance Fund, the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund, the Agency for Administration, the Commission for Protection of Competition, the Agency for Financial Support for Agriculture and Rural Development, the Food and Veterinary Agency and the Ombudsman Office.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-1549\" src=\"https:\/\/idscs.org.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Veles2.jpg\" alt=\"Veles2\" width=\"700\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/idscs.org.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Veles2.jpg 700w, https:\/\/idscs.org.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Veles2-300x171.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The workshop presented about principles of budget transparency and accountability; concept, types and modalities of performance budgeting; case studies and results from performance budgeting; steps in design and implementation of performance budgeting; as well as on the needs and challenges to implement this concept in Macedonia. The lecturers on these topics were given d-r Borce Trenovski and Misha Popovikj, MA. Paivil Valkama, resident twinning adviser on the EU Twining project \u201cStrengthening the Capacity of the Ministry of Finance for Macroeconomic Analysis and Policy Formulation\u201d in the Ministry of Finance in Macedonia presented on the evolution, challenges and experiences in implementation of performance budgeting in Finland.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-1550\" src=\"https:\/\/idscs.org.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Veles3.jpg\" alt=\"Veles3\" width=\"700\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/idscs.org.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Veles3.jpg 700w, https:\/\/idscs.org.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Veles3-300x171.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The workshop was organized in the frames of the project \u201cEnhancing Transparency and Accountability through Performance Budgeting\u201d which is implemented by CEA and IDSCS and which is funded by the European Union.
