Compared with the past years, more respondents agree that Macedonia should enter the EU without changing its name, while 42% think that Macedonia is not yet ready to join the European family.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-1331\" src=\"https:\/\/idscs.org.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/dsc_0124.jpg\" alt=\"dsc 0124\" width=\"721\" height=\"482\" srcset=\"https:\/\/idscs.org.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/dsc_0124.jpg 721w, https:\/\/idscs.org.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/dsc_0124-300x201.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 721px) 100vw, 721px\" \/><br \/>\nThese are just some of the study findings of the public opinion survey on the topic of \u201cPerceptions on the situation with the conflict of interests and assessment of Macedonia\u2019s progress in EU accession\u201d, as part of the project \u201cCSOs Watchdog Network to Prevent Spoils and Conflict of Interest in the Public Administration\u201d. The research findings were presented on 22 May 2014 at the \u201cQueens\u201d Hotel. The presentation was followed by a public debate titled: \u201cMacedonia on the road towards European Union, current perceptions of citizens\u201d, with distinguished domestic experts in EU integrations as a participants.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-1332\" src=\"https:\/\/idscs.org.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/dsc_0156.jpg\" alt=\"dsc 0156\" width=\"721\" height=\"482\" srcset=\"https:\/\/idscs.org.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/dsc_0156.jpg 721w, https:\/\/idscs.org.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/dsc_0156-300x201.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 721px) 100vw, 721px\" \/><br \/>\nOn the event, Jovan Bliznakovski from the Institute for Democracy \u201cSocietas Civilis\u201d Skopje (IDSCS) presented the project \u201cCSOs Watchdog Network to Prevent Spoils and Conflict of Interest in the Public Administration\u201d which is financially supported by the European Commission through IPA Civil Society Facility program, and implemented by the Institute for Democracy \u201cSocietas Civilis\u201d Skopje (IDSCS), Ohrid Institute for Economic Strategies and International Affairs (OI) and Macedonian Institute for Media (MIM).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-1333\" src=\"https:\/\/idscs.org.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/dsc_0094.jpg\" alt=\"dsc 0094\" width=\"721\" height=\"482\" srcset=\"https:\/\/idscs.org.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/dsc_0094.jpg 721w, https:\/\/idscs.org.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/dsc_0094-300x201.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 721px) 100vw, 721px\" \/><br \/>\nVladimir Misev, president of IDSCS, presented the main findings of a public opinion survey on the topic of \u201cPerceptions on the situation with the conflict of interests and assessment of Macedonia\u2019s progress in EU accession\u201d. The report of the survey will be available on the web-page of IDSCS (www.idscs.org.mk) during next week.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-1334\" src=\"https:\/\/idscs.org.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/dsc_0160.jpg\" alt=\"dsc 0160\" width=\"721\" height=\"482\" srcset=\"https:\/\/idscs.org.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/dsc_0160.jpg 721w, https:\/\/idscs.org.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/dsc_0160-300x201.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 721px) 100vw, 721px\" \/><br \/>\nGuest participants in the debate were Mr. Ivan Damjanovski and Mrs. Julija Brsakoska Bazerkoska from the Faculty of Law \u201cIustinianus Primus\u201d Skopje and Mrs. Malinka Ristevska Jordanova, director of European Policy Institute (EPI). Through comparative analysis, Damjanovski pointed out constantly positive perceptions of Macedonia\u2019s citizens towards EU assessment, but also certain downward trend of this support in the last 5 years. Mrs. Julija Brsakoska Bazerkoska emphasized that on the way to EU it is a necessity to meet numerous political and economic criteria and then even after a formal accession still longer adapting periods to the European reality will be needed.
