It aims at a proactive, dynamic and empowered civil society that respects, promotes and advocates the principles of good governance and one that will play an important role in the fight against corruption.<\/p><p>The platform will unite the actions, will strive to be corrective of the situation and will cooperate and communicate with all stakeholders including state institutions, political parties, business community and the international community. It will monitor and analyze the legal framework and current public policies and activities to combat corruption, initiate a public debate on the quality of laws and initiate legislative changes where necessary.<\/p><p>The platform connects civil society organizations and is an open location for cooperation, networking and democratic debate in order to strengthen the role of civil society organizations in the fight against corruption in the Republic of Macedonia.<\/p><p>The effectiveness, transparency and integrity of the relevant institutions will be constantly monitored. Special attention will be paid to the cooperation with the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption and its activities. The effectiveness of the judiciary as well as the work of other institutions (MoI, SAO, PPB, PRO) in processing cases related to corruption will be monitored and analyzed. The transparency and accountability of public institutions with a higher risk of corruption (judiciary, police, health, LSGUs, inspections, etc.) will be also monitored and analyzed. The platform will encourage and support initiatives for greater transparency in the adoption and implementation of the Budget of the Republic of Macedonia and the budgets of local self-government units, and will monitor the financing of political parties and the use of public resources for party interests. An initiative for easier access to (statistical) data will be also raised.<\/p><p>In addition, the platform will work on raising citizens&#8217; awareness of the fight against corruption. Innovative solutions will be introduced that will lead to higher integrity of institutions and citizens, who will be encouraged to report cases of corruption.
