Between June 1 and June 2, IDSCS participated at the Western Balkans “Civil Society & Think Tank Forum I: Road to Berlin” of this year’s Berlin Process Summit. Our senior researcher and Head of the Centre for European Integrations, Zoran Nechev, moderated the introductory panel “Eight Years of Berlin Process: Achievements and Outlook”. Misha Popovikj, senior researcher and Head of the Centre for Good Governance, moderated the workshop “The Role of the Civil Society in Strengthening Democracy”.
On the final panel, the working groups’ rapporteurs addressed their groups respective policy recommendations and discussed the expectations for this year’s Berlin Process Summit with State Secretary Miguel Berger from the German Federal Foreign Office.
The Forum was organised by the Aspen Institute Germany, in cooperation with the Southeast Europe Association and supported by the German Federal Foreign Office.
