On 29 April 2021, the Institute for Democracy in partnership with Stanford University organised a lecture on the topic of  “American Democracy: The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly”, taught by Professor Kent Weaver.

The event was organised for the LAD Alumni from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Montenegro, as part of the Leadership Academy for Development for Western Balkans series. The third and final alumni event will happen in May, followed by the LAD academy in North Macedonia, expected to be held this summer.

These activities are part of the “Fourth Regional Leadership Academy for Development for the Western Balkan” supported by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and the German Marshall Fund of the U.S.
