The handbook gives an overview about the Presidential Elections 2019 as well as about the history of the Presidential Elections in the country, the electoral system and information about the candidates.

*The signing of the Prespa Agreement on 17th June 2018 initiated the process for a change of the constitutional name of the Republic of Macedonia. The Agreement entered into force on 12th February 2019. Since this Handbook on the Presidential Elections was compiled prior to this agreement’s entry into force, the name “Republic of Macedonia” will be used throughout text in the first and the second supplemented edition.
